If you are a builder, architect or engineer, have a close look at the Advanced Formwork System.

Concreter's and builders who utilise this advanced yet simple to assemble system say they save approximately $3,000 on standard drop edge beam, retaining wall and sloping sight pours. Not to mention the fact they have time up their sleeve to perform additional jobs on site, with the time saved not having to erect and disassemble timber formwork.

The labour savings are huge. They save on concrete pump prices as well as the pump is not waiting around while they strip formwork. And they save on the cost of formwork over time. Keep in mind the Advanced Formwork System takes on average only an hour to assemble and only 30 minutes to disassemble.

Where to use Advanced Formwork Systems

High drop edge beams & retaining wall formwork

Many concreter's and builders find the construction of concrete slabs difficult on sloping or steep blocks. Advanced Formwork Systems make the process less complicated and much more manageable. Our unique formwork systems are predominantly employed to form and pour concrete in drop edge beams and retaining walls.

Drop Edge Beams are the concrete around the edge of a concrete slab that hold the fill under the slab. Drop Edge Beams are usually used on slabs that require cut and fill to flatten the slope of the landIn simple terms, wood panels are used to provide the form work for the concrete to be poured to create the drop edge beams.

Retaining walls are relatively rigid walls used for supporting soil laterally so that it can be retained at different levels on the two sides. Retaining walls are structures designed to restrain soil to a slope that it would not naturally keep to (typically a steep, near-vertical or vertical slope). They are used to bound soils between two different elevations often in areas of terrain possessing undesirable slopes or in areas where the landscape needs to be shaped severely and engineered for more specific purposes like hillside farming or roadway overpasses. A retaining wall that retains soil on the backside and water on the frontside is called a seawell or a bulkhead.
